From the house of Shimano comes another spinning reel series called the Shimano Socorro Spinning Reel Series. This spinning reel series uses high end technologies like Waterproof Drag and Propulsion. These technologies has the fisher covered in most of the big fish applications right from offshore to inshore, boat to kayak, pier to surf and freshwater to saltwater.
It uses Propulsion Line Management System, Power Roller III, and Propulsion Spool Lip. In addition to these it uses S-Arm Cam. It has a redesigned new Bail Tip, a lightweight Graphite Frame, Rotor as well as Sideplate. The spool is a Cold Forged Aluminium one that provides increased durability and strength over graphite or diecast aluminium spools. It comes with a Repairable Clicker which helps increase its life.

The rotor weight gets redistributed by using computer balancing similar to car tyre balancing creating smooth rotation and eliminating vibrations due to the reel.
