Okuma Salina Saltwater Spinning Reel Review
From the house of Okuma come this spinning reel series called the Okuma Salina Standard Spinning Reel Series. These aluminium reels have been constructed to withstand excess torque and pressure. This series of reels are a package of lightweight durability.
They come with an Elliptical Oscillation System which helps achieve superior line stability and line lay. The Salina employs 10 high performance stainless steel bearings that are double shielded for resistance from corrosion and smoothness. They come with a Precision Dual Force Drag System and Japanese multi disk oiled felt drag washers. Each reel has 4 HPB ball bearings of stainless steel and 1 roller bearing that is Quick Set Anti Reverse.

It also has a screw in handle design that is made of rigid diecast aluminium. Add to this a precision cut High Density Gearing , Narrow Blade Body Design, aluminium bail wire that is oversized and a Hydro Block drag seal that is water tight and you have the perfect saltwater spinning reel. 1. Okuma Salina SA-30 Spinning Reel – This model of the SA series has a line capacity of 200 yards of 6 lb of fishing line, 160 yards of 8 lb of fishing line and 110 yards of 10 lb of fishing line. It has 4 ball bearings and 1 roller bearing. With a gear ratio of 5.0:1.
2. Okuma Salina SA-40 Spinning Reel – This model of the SA series has a line capacity of 270 yards of 8 lb of fishing line, 190 yards of 10 lb of fishing line and 170 yards of 12 lb of fishing line. It has 4 ball bearings and 1 roller bearing. With a gear ratio of 5.0:1.
