From the house of Fin-Nor comes this series of saltwater spinning reels called the Fin-Nor Ahab Saltwater Spinning Reel Series. This series has a completely reshaped reel design for saltwater fishing. The new design focuses on battling aggressive game fish of saltwater and catching them.
Every key component is big and really strong. The proprietary Megadrag is almost an inch and a half in diameter which is twice that of drag washers in all other reels. This makes the Fin-Nor Ahab a superior spinning reel that can handle anything an offshore or coastal angler might encounter.
The philosophy behind this is – ‘the bigger the better’. This is because the Megadrag provides the angler with a pressure curve that is smooth right from the initial tension throughout the battle and till the big fish has been reeled in. The patented feature of ‘no tool’ drag washer change system is also incorporated and gives the angler power and ability to make a decision on what kind of control would be needed and enables him to make that change immediately.
